We also have our Thursday morning minyan in the Beit Midrash – Thursdays 8am-8:45am.
About Shabbat Morning Services at TBS
Our Shabbat morning services at Beth Shalom begin at 10am every Saturday morning. The services are led by our two Cantors, Rabbi Cantor Glenn Gelman and Cantor Roni Kripper. Rabbi Dov Gartenberg offers a teaching (Dvar Torah) each week on the Torah portion. Following services at 12pm we have an ample Kiddush with a chance to socialize, sing, and enjoy delicious food with friends, family, and new faces.
All our Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies take place in the context of Shabbat morning services. Our young people are taught to lead the services, mastering Torah reading, leading portions of the service, and giving a Dvar Torah-a teaching- to the congregation.
Our services are very participatory-encouraging worshippers to contribute as:
- Torah and Haftarah readers
- Shalichei Tzibbur-Service Leaders for Torah Service, Shahrit, or Musaf
- Olim-being called to the Torah
- Readers of community prayers
- Darshanim-Guest Teachers offering a Dvar Torah to the Congregation
